Yo, true story: When I owned a water bed, I slept near the frame. I put one arm up and one leg up on the padded frame. The rest of my body slid between the side and the water cushion. When I slept like that, I needed 2 hours less of sleep a night because I slept so good and I didn’t know why at first.
After University physics, I figured my arm and leg up on the frame took a good 1/5th of my body weight away from a downward force vector on my back. Also the snug cushion and sidewall took some weight from a central force vector. I’d imagine, my force vector of the weight of my body was at least 1/3 to 1/2 what it would be in a conventional bed.
Engineers have confirmed what I said is true… We as humans keep trying to make the latest and greatest thing based on new technology that comes out, but we have not filled in basic technology of the past. Water beds fell out of fashion due to maintenance and messy spills, but may humanity learn the lesson from them on how to get a better sleep. I was going to post that in the future people slept in Snooze Canoes, aka simulating a squish the water bed had on both your sides as you lay in them, but made out of cushions instead of water bags… Then I remembered: In space, there is no gravity. Maybe people use em on the planets n stuff… Either way, maybe someone out there will try and make a Snooze Canoe. I think it just takes padding on your sides, a place to put your arm and leg up on and a nice place for your shoulder to rest in. The My Pillow Guy staff gave me Mike Lindell’s email, but I think they give everyone that to blow em off. I tried to convince the My Pillow Guy to make em, lol, but you could probably make em at home, and become a kachillionaire. Send me one, I’m older, I could use better sleep, lol. I’m serious on all this stuff.
Now for the fun:
I’m halfway through the Foundational Patch Item Drops. When you pick stuff up, it slides up the UI. I need to add a name tag, and we’re done for the next patch.
